We simply couldn’t manage to do the work we do without the help of our volunteers. Your help, no matter how much or little, is vital to us, and to the older people of Islington that our work supports.
Our volunteers help in all sorts of ways, from being a friendly face and providing informal befriending at our Seniors’ Centres to helping to fill and label envelopes at our busy admin office.
We welcome volunteers of all ages from all backgrounds. You may have a skill that you would like to share that we haven’t asked for. Please let us know about the ways that you think you could support us. We welcome all suggestions! Give us a call, or use the Feedback button at the top of the page to let us know what you think.
We offer induction, training and support for whatever role you take on. We can also offer travel and lunch expenses if you volunteer for more than 3 hours in one day.
We will require one reference for all volunteers, and we will ask you to attend a check by the Criminal Records Bureau, which need be nothing to worry about, so long as you have no recent or relevant convictions. For more information please download a copy of our Volunteering Policy. If you are unable to download this file then please contact 020 7281 6018 and we will be happy to send you a copy in the post.
